The row was built for weavers in 1870 and had not been touched since the 1950s. We kept every facade and roof, and rebuilt the inside of each house around a new timber core.

Energy without losing character

Internal wood fibre insulation, secondary glazing and a shared heat pump brought the homes close to new-build standards without changing how the street looks.
